Consider commercial fitness equipment. Often times, you can buy the same equipment that your local gym has. Imagine, you can have that same (gasp!) Stairmaster that has dogged you for years at the local Ballys, right in your basement. This might be appealing to some who have the capital to invest in a large piece of equipment. If you no longer have to pay a $50 monthly fee to go to a gym every month, this might be a really smart investment. Look into commercial equipment, you might be pleasantly surprised.

3. The first two points are almost worthless without considering the financing of your new fitness equipment. When looking to finance your new set of fitness equipment there are tons of important factors to keep in mind.

Opportunities arise from distressed site

Opportunities arise from distressed site

NZ Business, Feb 2010

A website that helps companies deal with the fallout from the global recession should provide plenty of bargains for canny shoppers.

Distressedsales.co.nz is a one-stop online marketplace for all sales forced on the corporate vendor, whether through company liquidations, receiverships, repossessions, asset disposal, or simply overstocked or surplus goods.

Founders Dave Macfarlane and Jodie Tipping believe the site is an excellent hunting ground for private buyers as well. “We didn’t set out with this in mind, but it’s clearly going to provide access to products that wouldn’t otherwise be widely offered in the public domain,” says Macfarlane.

To get the site up and running, the team contacted many insolvency specialists and company accountants and the new service is being advertised to investors and potential buyers.

“They are telling us that distressedsales. co.nz has come along at just the right time. Most specialist accountancy firms have their ‘hospital wing’ full of sick or dying companies. They need a place to market the recoverable assets in a professional and profitable manner.”

Sellers on the site have to pay a small fee, but It is free for buyers. Macfarlane says the appeal of the site to liquidators and receivers is its wide reach. “Potential buyers can view the offerings from anywhere in the world.”

Shift in Customer Care Strategies Triggers Growth in EMEA Contact

Shift in Customer Care Strategies Triggers Growth in EMEA Contact

0 Comments | U.S. Newswire, Jun 11, 2010

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., June 11 /PRNewswire/ — Given the lull in the global economic environment, growth in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) contact center outsourcing market has been slower than it has been in the past. The vast majority of large, medium, and small businesses in EMEA continue to seek cost reductions, focus on building core competencies, and gain economies of scale through smart investments with experienced outsourcers.

(Logo: http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20081117/FSLOGO)

New analysis from Frost & Sullivan (http:// www.contactcenter.frost.com), EMEA Contact Center Outsourcing Markets, finds that the market earned revenues of 11.1 billion Euros in 2009, a decline from 2008 and is expected to recover and grow from 2010 and onwards, reaching 14.7 billion Euros in 2016.

If you are interested in a virtual brochure for this study, please send an e-mail to Sarah Saatzer, Corporate Communications, at sarah.saatzer@frost.com, with your full name, company name, title, telephone number, company e-mail address, company website, city, state and country.

“Tech support, help desk and general customer service outsourcing continue to be the fastest growing segments for contact center outsourcing across EMEA,” says Frost & Sullivan Senior Analyst Michael DeSalles. “The increased adoption of IP and multi-media technology and hosted/software-as-a-service (SaaS) models have been important drivers for EMEA outsourcing growth. In the last year, we also saw that customer retention activity is more important than ever for enterprises.”

The biggest challenge in EMEA outsourcing seems to hinge on the fact that to be successful, providers must offer robust multilingual agent populations – often termed a ‘pan-European’ solution, in order to attract and keep key clients.

“Many outsourcing providers have gone to a more centralized staffing model in order to bring in and keep agent talent in particular countries,” explains DeSalles. “This is a real shift in operating philosophy and away from the historical notion of maintaining a large footprint on the European continent.”

Increasingly, clients are looking for outsourcing service providers that offer comprehensive, globally expansive solution sets. This is designed to help mitigate operational risks without sacrificing quality, retention efforts or customer satisfaction.

EMEA Contact Center Outsourcing Markets is part of the Contact Centers Growth Partnership Services program, which also includes research in the following markets: North American Hosted Contact Center Markets, North American Speech Applications Development Market for Contact Centers, and North America Contact Center Outsourcing Markets, among others. All research services included in subscriptions provide detailed market opportunities and industry trends that have been evaluated following extensive interviews with market participants.

Businesses cashing in on flooded homeowners

Businesses cashing in on flooded homeowners

0 Comments | Winnipeg Free Press, Jun 1, 2010 | by Harvey, Britt

WHILE some Winnipeggers are still reeling from sewage backups and flooded basements, several businesses are reaping the rewards of increased sales.

James Wall, general manager of James Wall Plumbing Heating & Cooling, received 10 times the normal number of calls this weekend — all from stressed-out Winnipeggers asking for help.

“It was really busy, the phones were ringing non-stop all weekend and into the evening,” he said.

“There were lots of calls for sump pumps that had failed and needed to be repaired, people just didn’t know what to do.”

Rod Groening, hardware manager at the Canadian Tire in Southdale, said the store also experienced a massive jump in sales this weekend. It has since been cleared out of utility pumps and sump pumps, and dehumidifiers and fans have been snatched up with abandon.

“This kind of consumption is really out of the ordinary,” explained Groening. “You always have the regular business that comes with spring water damage, but with the storms it is busier than usual.”

And if Canadian Tire customers were looking for a sympathetic audience for their flood woes, they’ve got one in Groening. His own home suffered water damage this weekend.

“I was working on it for five hours yesterday and it’s still not finished,” he said. “I only had a couple of inches, I can’t imagine what it’s like for people that had a couple of feet. It’s just a huge inconvenience for everyone.”

A huge inconvenience, but according to Jerry Werestiuk, it could have been a lot worse. Werestiuk is the owner of Kildonan Tree Service, and although the company has been called on to repair storm damage, it is no busier than usual.

“We were lucky that we didn’t experience stronger winds,” said Werestiuk. “That rain combined with stronger winds would have caused much more damage.”

Cathy Rollo, co-owner of Winnipeg Insurance Brokers, said there had been an increase in calls this weekend, but noted that insurance companies are usually busy at this time of year.

“We got a lot of calls on the weekend and my phone has been lit up all day,” said Rollo. “But we always get calls in the spring, but the storm has definitely made things a lot worse.”

Rollo also mentioned there seemed to be some confusion with Winnipeggers wondering where exactly their water came from. It could be a backed-up sewer, a flaw in their home’s foundation, or a crack in the window.

“Any time people call and they don’t know where the water came from they need to call an adjuster immediately,” she said. “People should be thinking about mitigating their losses, it’s also their responsibility to take steps to minimize the damage.”

Minimizing the potential for flood damage is advice James Wall says he always gives to his clients

Why it does that is a mystery.

Why it does that is a mystery. Hair loss pattern in alopecia aerata

You may begin losing hair in coin size patches. Sometimes the loss will stop after a patch or two and re-grow there after some months. Sometimes the loss continues and you may lose all the hair. This hair may come back after some months. No body can predict about how you will lose hair and when you will get it again. If you have a family member who suffers from a autoimmune disease such as Atopic dermatitis, hay fever etc. your probability of getting

alopecia aerata

increases. There is no way to stop this

hair loss. Only treatment can be done to get the hair back sooner.

Greenberg Traurig Shareholder Sabrina R. Ferris Appointed to Miami Advisory Board of The Posse Foundation

Business Wire, July 27, 2010

MIAMI — Sabrina R. Ferris, an attorney with international law firm Greenberg
Traurig, PA, has been appointed to the Miami Advisory Board of The Posse
Foundation, Inc. The youth development leadership program identifies
high school students with extraordinary academic and leadership
potential who, despite their abilities, may be overlooked in the
traditional college selection processes. Miami became the seventh
chapter of the program in 2009, joining Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los
Angeles, New York and Washington, D.C.

Working with 38 partner institutions, the Foundation extends these
students four-year, full-tuition college scholarships and the
opportunity to pursue their college education in supportive,
multicultural teams – known as Posses – of 10 students each. Posse
started because of one student who said, I never would have dropped out
of college if I had my posse with me

Unfortunately there are few votes

Unfortunately there are few votes to be had in Road Safety but many to be gained in Job creation.

We are creating many new jobs and filling them with migrant workers only to be shipping these same workers home in boxes since we have no real Road Regulation enforcement!

With the ever increasing number of road accidents culminating in not just tragic deaths but many life changing injuries, it is essential to train with a

Professional Driving School!

This is a costly exercise but will be repaid in time since you will be much less likely to be involved in one of the constant daily incidents (AKA Accidents !) most of which are TOTALLY avoidable ! !

A Professional School will teach you above and beyond the current standards required to pass the Driving Test! The Current Driving Test regulations, while a significant improvement on previous years, still have a long way to go before reaching the top of the European ladder!

It is anticipated that Mandatory Tuition will be introduced for Car Drivers before very long! It is imminent for Motorcyclists and as I write this page there have been nine fatalities in the last 24 hours ??? two of these tragedies involved Motorcycles!

Since the start of 2006 in just 10 weeks we have lost 80 lives on the roads here in Ireland.

AS 1961 CAME to a close, some white folks in the Mississippi Delta were dreaming of a ?white? Christmas when they decided to keep their black customers away from the city of Clarksdale?s annual parade.

Their tune changed when Coahoma County?s NAACP chapter led by civil rights activist Aaron Henry sponsored a major boycott over the Christmas shopping season of 1961. Downtown stores were all heavily dependent on black trade giving the boycott both immediate and lasting effects.

Medgar Evers, head of the state NAACP, and Henry had met with President Kennedy over the summer during the NAACP convention in Philadelphia. National board members traveled from Philadelphia to Washington, D. C. on a ?freedom train? where they talked with the president and others over the severity of their problems.

?President Kennedy listened to us intently, was very cordial, and gave us a tour of the White House,? Henry later wrote in his autobiography.

Several months later, Clarksdale?s mayor decided there would be no Negro participation in the local Christmas parade: his decision would result in the first major confrontation in Clarksdale since 1955.

Aaron Henry and others were stunned and affronted by the mayor?s edict.
